The International School of Thrissur proudly celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day at the school campus on the day of August 15, 2024, greeted with enthusiasm and pride. The celebration began with the national flag hoisting by Wing Commander Mr. K B Binzu from the Air Force Selection Board, joined by the school’s Principal, Mr. Sanu Joseph. The entire gathering stood in reverence as the national anthem was sung, filling the atmosphere with patriotism.

The event featured cultural performances that highlighted India’s rich heritage. Students from different grades performed patriotic songs and dances, while younger students presented profiles of national patriots, adding a touch of history to the occasion.

Principal Sanu Joseph addressed the gathering, reflecting on the significance of the day and introducing the chief guest and his family. Wing Commander Binzu delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging the students to embrace the values of service to the nation. He later engaged in an interactive session, where students asked insightful questions and shared their thoughts.

The Independence Day celebration at TIST was a heartfelt tribute to India’s freedom, and through the collective effort of students and faculty, it served as a reminder of the enduring spirit of the country.
