Young Football Stars Shine at Sevens Football Tournament!

The International School of Thrissur hosted the sevens football tournament on November 1, 2024, bringing together teams from international schools across Kerala to compete on the school's grounds. The tournament was held in the U/14 and U/18 categories, where budding athletes from eight top schools showcased their impressive teamwork, skill, and resilience as they battled it out on the field in high-energy, thrilling matches. 

At the end of an action-packed day, GEMS Modern Academy, Cochin, emerged as the U/14 champions, with standout player Daniel earning the title of best player and Antony being named best goalkeeper, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the game. In the U/18 category, Global Public School International, Kochi, claimed the victory.

Spectators were treated to games brimming with strategy, intense match ups, and incredible goalkeeping, setting a new standard for school-level football.

In the U/18 category, Trivandrum International School claimed the runner-up position, while Global English School, Calicut, secured the runner-up spot in the U/14 category, with both teams demonstrating outstanding performance, skill, and teamwork throughout the tournament.

The King’s School (Kollam), The Indian Public School (Cochin), Cochin International School, Devamatha CMI International School (Thrissur), and Sadhbhavana World School (Calicut) also participated in the football championship. TIST congratulated all the teams for their outstanding performances and participation, showcasing remarkable displays of skill and sportsmanship.
