The International School of Thrissur marked Indian Navy Day on 4th December 2024 with a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s naval heroes. The event was graced by Commander Manish Bharadwaj from the Signal School, Naval Base Kochi, as the chief guest, along with Deputy Commandant J. V. Augusty and his wife, Mrs. Feba Jose, as guests of honour.
The celebration began with a special assembly led by students, highlighting the Indian Navy's role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime borders. The program featured a vibrant dance performance and thought-provoking speeches that shed light on the Navy’s contribution to national security and global diplomacy.
Principal Mr. Sanu Joseph introduced Commander Manish Bharadwaj, whose inspiring address left the audience captivated. Sharing his experiences, Commander Bharadwaj emphasized the values of discipline, dedication, and service to the nation.
A highlight of the event was a “visual voyage,” where the chief guest offered a rare glimpse into the life of naval personnel. Through engaging videos and a detailed presentation, students learned about the Navy’s operations, challenges, and responsibilities, sparking their interest and admiration.
