The International School of Thrissur (TIST) proudly conducted the Model United Nations (MUN) event, the TISTMUN Chapter 1 program, providing young diplomats with a platform for discussions and debates on global issues. The event was organized at the school campus on October 5, 2024, as a 2-day dynamic discussion centred on the refugee crisis and managing the increasing population day by day. 

Mr. T P Sreenivasan, IFS, a renowned Indian diplomat, author, and columnist, and Mr. M P Joseph  a former IAS officer and UN official, inaugurated the special event.

The second day concluded with the presence of the honourable Mr S. Murthy Chaganti (Managing Director and CEO of Asianet Satellite Communications Ltd), who discussed the importance of MUN in developing future leaders.

Principal Mr. Sanu Joseph addressed the students and congratulated all our young talents who participated in the event.

Madhav Menon (IG I) our student representative was awarded the Best Delegate, while Dhruvan received a Special Mention for his great contributions.

The event was well-received by the school community. The participation of the students, along with the guidance of the TIST faculties made  TISTMUN Chapter I a huge success.
