TISTMUN Global 2026, an inter-school Model United Nations (MUN) conference organised by The International School of Thrissur (TIST), commenced on October 30 at Park Inn & Suites by Radisson, East Fort, Thrissur. The conference was inaugurated by Ambassador Srikumar Menon, IFS (Retd.), former Indian diplomat.

The function was presided over by M. P. Joseph, IAS (Retd.), Chairperson of the school. Principal Sanu Joseph delivered the felicitation address. Secretary General Louis Jo delivered the welcome address, while Deputy Secretary General Kiran M. Ratheesh proposed the vote of thanks.

Around 115 student delegates representing nearly 25 schools from various districts across Kerala participated in the conference. Held on October 30 and 31, the two-day event provided a platform for students to deliberate on international issues, present diplomatic perspectives, and develop their communication, leadership and critical-thinking skills.

The discussions were conducted through two committees: the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The conference focused on contemporary global issues, including international peace and security, diplomacy, economic crimes, and mechanisms involved in financing drug trafficking.
